I do see that the installed 圆4 driver for the Logic16 is dated which seems very old and must predate Win7 and maybe even Saleae. On XP it's perfect (and a fantastic tool), on Win7, for me, it's useless.

Can't capture anything at any rate :( Of course in the 4 weeks all sorts of other software has been installed, 10's of Windows updates etc. Now 4 weeks later, when I really really want to use the Logic16, it constantly fails.

Initially (18 months ago) my Logic16 was perfect on Win7 圆4 Ultimate, then started "Can't keep up with this data rate" occasionally, and then this degraded to nearly every time.Įvery time I used my work laptop (Win XP) it would work perfectly.Īfter much email correspondence with Saleae, and buying a cheap PCIe USB board, it was occasional luck, but still poor.Ĭoincidentally, I was rebuilding the PC with a super-duper SSD and as soon as it was up and running, the Logic16 was perfect. Whenever I hear "SHOULD' work, I start to itch.Īny ideas/suggestions appreciated, I am really stumped What also has me feeling funky is Saleae has been consistently telling me it "SHOULD' work.
I have also tried runing the software in a VM but I get the same result. I just find it odd that it works fine on a 13 year old laptop running XP, and not on a 5 year old pc running Win7. Even on one channel.Īt this point I am getting very frustrated, and was wondering if anyone here has come across the same issue. Which I also did and still no good, same problem. They next suggested that I buy a PCIe USB 3.0 card and try that. I tried all seven ports and I get the same problem. I have an open ticket with Saleae, and they suggested first trying every USB port as it "SHOULD" work. If I connect it to the other machines, no issues, it goes all the way to 24Mhz 100m samples etc. My problem is when I want to use the Logic8 I cannot sample above 1Mhz no mater how many samples or channels I select.

I have a 'new' Dell Dimension 5100 running with a new copy of Win7 32bit, 4GB of memory, 80gig harddrive, 1gb dual monitor card, PCI RS485 card, PCI Dual Serial Card, all the updates are in, all the Dell utilities, drivers etc are installed. All 5 machines are running WinXP 32bit, the pc's are about 5 years old, the one laptop is about ten, the other laptop is over 12years old. I have been using it on three pc's and two laptops with no issue. I have a Saleae Logic8 that I am quite happy with. I guessed this is the best forum for this.
